Rumor has it that filming will begin in April, in Namibia, and that another trilogy -- "a re-imagining of the Mad Max world" -- is on the boards. Here are some rather sketchy photos of some of the vehicles for the new movie(s):
Some of these vehicles appeal to me, some don't. I like the squared-off lines and the heavy duty road tires. The trucks themselves look cool enough, but the car bodies perched on top of them veer dangerously close to monster truck/Bat Man territory. The dune buggies DEFINITELY float my boat.
Below we have an original Mad Max Interceptor that looks as if it might make it into the new movie:
And below we have two Mad Max concept vehicles...I'm not quite sure what purpose they serve if they are not for the new movie:
